Ramdhan Mehna is a retired gazetted officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. After retiring, he returned to his family’s four acres of ancestral land in Jaipur district to farm the natural way. For the last two years he has followed the Soul Society's method of farming (bhumiupchaar), feeding his soil with cow-dung manure and farm-made bio-inputs and protecting his crops with natural sprays, never chemical fertilisers or pesticides. He grows lemon, maize, wheat, gram, cluster bean, millet, moong, moth bean and marigold.
