How we grow

Every grain, graded by how it was grown.

Every Khapli Hub product tells you two things: how its soil was cared for, and which seed it came from. Nothing hidden.

Good grain starts in good earth.

A grain spends months drawing everything it has from the soil. The better the soil is cared for, the better the grain. So we grade every harvest at one of three levels, and each level includes everything in the one before it.

Level 1

Pure Earth

Grown without chemicals

Organically Grown
Level 2

Living Earth

Grown in living soil

True Organic
Level 3 · Our finest

Mineral Earth

Grown in mineral-rich soil

Premium Organic

Each level builds on the one before it.

Level 1

Pure Earth

Grown without chemicals.

Grain grown without any synthetic chemicals, from seed to harvest. Clean, good food, the way grain is meant to be.

On our productsNames begin with Organically Grown

What the farmer does

  • Feeds the soil with farmyard manure, compost and vermicompost
  • Protects crops with natural biopesticides, such as neem-based sprays
  • Hoes and weeds the crop by hand, at the right time, with no weedicides
  • Rotates crops each season, so the soil never tires
Never usedUrea, DAP or any synthetic fertiliser, chemical pesticides, weedicides or growth regulators.
What you getClean, honest grain with its natural taste. A safe everyday staple for homes and kitchens.

Level 2

Living Earth

Level 3 OUR FINEST

Mineral Earth

Grown in mineral-rich soil, in rhythm with nature.

The zenith of our farming.

Everything in Living Earth, taken to its highest level. Mineral Earth rests on three things: soil restored to be rich in minerals, a crop nourished with herbal bio-enzymes, and a farm run in rhythm with the sun and the five elements. Then we test the harvest in a lab, so the result is shown, not just described.

On our productsNames begin with Premium Organic
01

Below the soil

Restoring minerals and microbial life, so nutrients are available to the plant.

02

In the plant

Herbal bio-enzymes and decoctions that support plant vigour and natural defence.

03

Around the farm

Farming in rhythm with the sun's daily cycle, with Agnihotra and a farm designed around the five elements.

01 · Below the soil: the foundation

  • Native cows on the farm, the base of every farm input
  • Panchgavya: five native-cow products that nourish soil and plants
  • Follows the SOUL Mineral-Dense Protocol for restoring minerals to the soil
  • Anaerobic bio-fertilisers: farm waste fermented in sealed bags without oxygen, producing a microbe-rich liquid manure that helps release minerals locked in the soil.
  • Biofertilisers: beneficial microbes that help plants draw more nutrition from the soil

02 · In the plant: the finish

  • Herbal bio-enzymes: medicinal herbs fermented into a living extract, sprayed on the crop
  • Herbal decoctions from local medicinal plants, to protect the crop
  • Aromatherapy: aromatic herbs and natural fragrances in the field to keep pests away

Anaerobic bio-fertilisers build the foundation below the soil. Herbal bio-enzymes work above it. The two do different jobs, and Mineral Earth uses both.

The herbs in our bio-enzymes

Ashwagandha

Withania somnifera

A root rich in withanolides, valued in Ayurveda for building resilience. Used in our enzymes as a tonic for the crop.

Safed Musli

Chlorophytum borivilianum

A root rich in saponins and natural polysaccharides, which also feed soil microbes as the extract ferments.

Tulsi

Ocimum sanctum

Holy basil, rich in aromatic oils such as eugenol, known for natural antifungal and antimicrobial properties.

Moringa leaf

Moringa oleifera

Naturally rich in zeatin, a plant growth hormone. Moringa leaf extract is widely studied as a natural plant biostimulant.

03 · Around the farm: rhythm and balance

In rhythm with the sun

The circadian rhythm. Plants, like people, run on an internal 24-hour clock. Set each day by sunrise and sunset, it times when a plant opens its pores, photosynthesises, grows and defends itself.

Agnihotra. A small fire of dried native-cow dung, ghee and rice, lit in a copper pyramid at the exact moment of sunrise and sunset, every day. On Mineral Earth farms, it marks the two turning points of that daily rhythm, and the day's field work, like watering and sprays, is timed around them.

Agnihotra is part of homa farming, practised alongside mantra and havan.

The five elements (Pancha Mahabhuta)

  • Prithvi · EarthMineral-rich, living soil
  • Jal · WaterRain harvesting and moisture held by mulch
  • Agni · FireSunlight, field orientation and Agnihotra
  • Vayu · AirWindbreaks and open, airy crop spacing
  • Akasha · SpaceRoom to grow, with diverse plants around the field

These are traditional Vedic practices that our Mineral Earth farmers follow with discipline. We share them as part of how the food is grown. The proof of quality is the lab report.

How we check

Tradition in the field. Proof in the lab.

Mineral Earth harvests are tested by an independent laboratory, and the full report is published exactly as issued, on the product page and on our Quality & Lab Reports page. You get both the story of how your food was grown and the data on what is inside it.

And the seed it came from

Two kinds of seed

Alongside its level, every product tells you its seed. The two are separate: any seed can be grown at any level.

Heritage seed

Tribal, Rare & Native

Old Indian varieties, such as Khapli, Bansi and heritage rice and pulses, saved and replanted by tribal and farming communities for generations.

Why they matter

  • Many have almost disappeared from markets
  • Each has its own taste, texture and history
  • Naturally suited to the soil and climate where they have grown for centuries
  • Farmers can save and replant them, so the seed stays with the farmer

What you get

Rare grain with real character. Every purchase keeps these seeds alive in farmers' fields.

Everyday seed

Modern Varieties

Improved, higher-yield varieties, widely grown across India today.

Why we offer them

  • Steady supply, season after season
  • Uniform grain, ideal for regular and bulk orders
  • Grown to exactly the same practice standards as our native seeds

What you get

Reliable everyday grain, grown the same careful way.

How to read our products

Level and seed, side by side.

Every product shows its practice level and its seed together, along with the farmer who grew it and the reports behind it. One look tells you exactly what you're buying.

Questions

What is jeevamrut?

A traditional soil tonic made from cow dung, cow urine, jaggery and pulse flour. It brings soil microbes back to life.

What is panchgavya?

A traditional preparation of five products from the native cow (dung, urine, milk, curd and ghee), used to nourish soil and plants.

Can the same grain be at different levels?

Yes. Wheat can be Pure Earth, Living Earth or Mineral Earth, depending on how that farmer grows it. The product always tells you which.

Why do higher levels cost more?

Each level asks more work, care and time from the farmer, and the price reflects that work.
